The Annual Show provides an unparalleled business opportunity for commercial & residential developers and contractors, specialized electrical engineering, investors, suppliers, distributors, government authorities and state corporations to congregate, interact, network and discuss industry trends, challenges and market insights.
Senegal, which has a young and rapidly growing population, has increased its exports by 50 percent and its imports by 43 percent in the last 5 years, making it the most important commercial center of West Africa. The biggest obstacle to the fast-growing economy is energy access. In the country, where the population's access to energy ratio is around 30 percent, this rate drops to 9 percent in rural areas. About 25 percent of the country produces its own electricity with generators. Significant energy investments are planned in the country in recent years so that the energy access problem does not harm the development momentum of economic activities.
Senegal’s strategic location as a competitive gateway, underpinned by Free Trade Area with the other ECOWAS countries, makes it an ideal venue for the staging of the SENENERGY.
